I SHOULD HAVE HAD MY ANNUAL MAINTENANCE!

THE BASEMENT DOCTOR’S ANNUAL MAINTENANCE PROGRAM

The Basement Doctor wants you to get the most out of your home improvement investment. Your systems and products will continue to operate at their peak performance with an annual maintenance visit from one of our trained technicians. These technicians are dedicated to servicing and maintaining the systems and products we install.

Because our technicians will inspect your entire home both inside and out during their visit, they may also provide other helpful hints as well as recommend new products that will help make your house a drier, cleaner, healthier, safer, more energy efficient home.

MAINTAINING YOUR WATERPROOFING SYSTEM

Your expert will check your entire basement waterproofing system, especially the sump pump and liner. You can expect the following items to be done during their annual maintenance visit:

  • Inspect and clean sump pump
  • Clean the sump pump liner
  • Check the discharge line and valve
  • Test the battery backup alarm
  • Sediment Flush From waterproofing System
  • Check for any new or emerging issues in your home

Your basement warranty does not cover incidental or consequential damages as a result of a leak or flood. This means the warranty does not cover carpeting, boxes, finished walls, furniture, equipment or any other important contents in your basement. This is why it is so important to pay attention to issues that may affect your waterproofing system or products in your basement, and to take action to prevent serious problems such as flooding before they start.

MAINTAINING YOUR I-BEAM/FORCE BEAM SYSTEM

During this annual maintenance visit, your technician will inspect the beams to ensure they are at a constant 40lbs. of pressure. They will check both the interior and exterior of the foundation to make sure the drain and discharge lines are clear of debris.

MAINTAINING YOUR DEHUMIDIFIER/AIR PURIFICATION SYSTEM

For annual maintenance on your dehumidifier, your expert will inspect the unit. He will also clean and oil the unit if needed. The humidistat level will be checked to make sure it is accurate. We will then inspect the blower motor. We will then change the filter in your unit and leave a replacement filter for six month change out. The technician will also install a drain pan treatment to keep the discharge line clean.
